Rebar Driver Tool This driver is used to pound down to grade with a hammer the rebar the screed chairs sit on. You first set a stringline to finished grade. You then drive in 1/2" rebar next to the stringline about 3' - 4' apart. After you get the rebar to just below the string you place the tool over the rebar and pound it down till the driver pointer is at the stringline. Then place the screed chair over the rebar. It is constructed of solid steel an painted black. We include a driver in every bucket of 500 screed chairs that you purchase. We also have grade plates that attach to the rebar if you are pouring in softer soil to help keep the rebar and screed chair from sinking.
