Monique Lhuillier for Royal Doulton Ruban 18-Ounce Goblet

In an especially lovely collaboration, Royal Doulton and American dress designer Monique Lhuillier have created a series of tableware patterns inspired by Monique's couture bridal and evening gowns. The pairing makes perfect sense. Like Royal Doulton, Monique's creations are known for luxurious materials and superb workmanship as well as fresh, innovative design with a modern aesthetic. The series was introduced in 2008, and each pattern reveals its own personality that is unmistakably sumptuous yet invitingly easy.

From the Ruban ("ribbon" in French) bar and stemware collection, this 18-ounce all-purpose goblet features a tall, angle-bottomed bowl adorned by three etched white bands that float weightlessly across the luminescent crystal surface. The rim is thin and cleanly cut for smooth delivery of any liquid from dinner-table water to tall pours of party cocktails, while the solid round stem and base lend a substantial look and well-balanced feel.
