The Overhead Mount Sweeter Heater is safe, energy efficient, indestructible, and reliable. This is an infrared radiant heater, intended to heat the animal underneath. Unless measuring heat with a radiant heat gun, a thermometer will only measure the heat that is released from the animal. It's not a space heater nor does it get hot like one. Designed to be hung or suspended from a ceiling or bracket from above, approximately 6-20 inches over the animals to be warmed. There are no hot spots, develops a uniform heat pattern, and has a 3-year warranty. The surface temperature of the lens will range from a safe 160-180 degrees (F) and will not burn your animals. It is designed to warm the animal, not the environment and is fully adjustable to maintain the ideal comfort level for your animals. For additional safety measures, the Sweeter Heater has an internal snap action thermal control to insure heaters turns off automatically when heat is not allowed to escape. The 11x16 model has up to 176 square inches of soft uniform infrared heat and if using for brooding chicks, we suggest 10-20 chicks will fit comfortably (also dependent upon environmental factors). Sweeter Heaters are ideal for use in chick brooders, chicken coops, whelping areas, goat kidding, kennel runs, farrowing units, dog and cat houses/crates, rabbits, bees, and bird and reptile cages. The SWEETER HEATER develops a uniform heat pattern, it uses less power to operate, it is unbreakable, it is sealed so it can be washed.

UNITS SHOULD ALWAYS BE INSTALLED WITH (GFI) GROUND FAULT INTERRUPT CIRCUITS FOR MAXIMUM SAFETY. Power cords are not included in this warranty. Damage from mishandling, abuse or animal damage will void the warranty. In the unlikely event your heater fails to heat, it can be returned for evaluation in cleaned condition to the manufacturer - call/email for prior authorization. ATTENTION: Insure that the heat surface (opposite) is open to air and that the heat is allowed to escape and circulate. Allow 6 inches of air space between the ground surface, bedding, straw, hay or any cumbustable materials. Take special precautions to insure that the unit is not allowed to fall inadvertently with its heating surface enclosed. FIRE CAUSING CONDITIONS CAN OCCUR. HEATER INFORMATION AND START UP All of the materials we use in the Sweeter Heater are completely safe. The lens material is common fiberglass fire rated sheeting used in homes and the food industry. The shell is ABS styrene material (think refrigerator linings, toys, and other molded products). The insulation is a noncombustible EcoTouch Insulation utility blanket. The ODOR that is noted on a new heater is from the escalated final drying of the lens material (fiberglass and adhesives) as the heat is applied. The odor is normal and will go away in a day or so as the new materials dry out. Very close examination of the lens sometimes reveals small hairline cracks that are created as the lens dries. This is also normal.
