Why do the included wall bolts/screws break during installation?
The included hardware is a general-purpose kit. Different wall types need different expansion bolts/anchors. Bolts often break from over-tightening, high-torque impact driver use, wrong pilot hole size, or using the wrong anchors for your wall.
How can I prevent the included bolts/screws from breaking?
Check your wall type first. If the included hardware is not suitable, use your own bolts and screws that fit your wall type. Pre-drill the correct hole size, tighten until snug but do not over-tighten, and avoid high torque.
Can I install it on drywall only (without studs)?
Absolutely not. Drywall has no load‐bearing strength. Using only plastic anchors in drywall is unsafe and strictly prohibited. Screws must go into solid wood studs behind the drywall; otherwise, the garage wall shelf may collapse.
What is the maximum weight capacity per wall shelf?
Each wall shelf supports up to 100 lbs when mounted into solid wood studs (16" spacing) or concrete/brick with proper anchors. Do not mount on drywall alone – capacity drops significantly and the wall shelf may fall.
Does it fit standard wall studs?
Yes. The brackets fit both common 16‐inch stud spacing. Please verify your wall spacing before installation.
