Why does it look like my pen is missing the cartridge holder?
The cartridge holder can sometimes stay inside the cap. If you see a chrome ring at the end of the cap, that’s actually the holder. Assemble the pen normally and screw it together firmly, then pull it apart like a standard ink pen to release it.
Why won’t the plunger extend when I turn the dial?
The pen will not extend unless a 3mL cartridge is installed inside the cartridge holder and firmly screwed into the pen base. Without a cartridge in place, the internal mechanism has nothing to push against, so the plunger will not move.
