GERMAN ENGINEERING & DESIGN
Opis Technology is a German brand. We design, engineer, and test every product at our headquarters in Germany. Final assembly is handled by our trusted partner in China under strict quality oversight. If anything isn't perfect, our support team is here to make it right.
Will this vintage style phone work with my modern home phone service?
Yes! It plugs directly into standard landline wall jacks, VoIP routers, fiber optic modems, and cable phone services using the included RJ11 cable. No special adapters are needed for US lines.
Can I navigate automated "press 1" menus and voicemail with the dial?
Absolutely. Unlike strict vintage replicas, our mechanical dial includes star and pound holes and outputs modern DTMF tones. Just place your finger in the star or pound hole and rotate to the stop.
Does the telephone require batteries, an AC adapter, or Bluetooth?
No external power is required. The phone draws all the power it needs directly from the phone line connection. It is a genuine corded landline telephone, not a Bluetooth or cellular device.
Is the telephone made from real wood and metal?
The body is crafted from a heavy piece of solid, real wood, and the bell ringer is genuine metal. To ensure durability, several brass-toned accents are made from high-quality painted plastic.
Where is the Opis 1921 Cable Candlestick designed and manufactured?
Opis Technology is a German brand. This phone is designed, engineered, and tested at our headquarters in Germany, and hand-assembled to our exact specifications by our trusted partner in China.
