This sleek and lightweight fall protection device has an internal shock absorber that provides safety from the inside out, eliminating the need for a bulky shock pack. The integrated energy absorber has a maximum deployment distance of 48 inches (1.2 meters), an average arresting force of 900 lbs., and comes with a fall arrest indicator tag that breaks in the event of a fall.
  • 2 SNAP HOOKS AND SAFETY LABELS – The KwikSafety DOUBLE RATTLER fall arrest lanyard comes with two (2) self-locking snap hook connectors ANSI tested to a tensile strength of 5,000 lbs. and gate strength of 3,600 lbs. All snap hooks on the lanyard are compatible with full safety harnesses with D-Rings and anchor points as part of your personal fall arrest system. What is a safety lanyard used for?

A safety lanyard is used in fall protection systems to connect a worker’s harness to an anchor point, preventing falls or minimizing injury during a fall.

What are the OSHA requirements for lanyards?

OSHA requires safety lanyards to limit fall arrest forces to 1,800 lbs, be compatible with approved anchor points, and include shock absorbers if used in fall arrest systems. Must meet OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards.

What is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 lanyards?

Type 1 lanyards are designed for anchor points at or above the dorsal D-ring. Type 2 lanyards are for anchors below the D-ring and offer extra shock absorption for longer fall distances.
